A what?

First click here here and here
Now as you can see our Legionnaire appears to have a hobby. He likes to go Go-Karting :). Let me explain a bit what the plan is with this hobby. First I should introduce Jay, the programming wizard that bought a Commadore64 when he was a kid. he wrote his first C64 games in assembler at the age of 14. He has been in game development ever since. And we are very lucky to have him aboard. The plan with this game is like this. First we will release a playable version online this includes a Kart and a track. All testing fase stuff..

What we need of you guys is relevant feedback on the handeling. We want this thing to be fun just driving at first. Next step we will add those nice weapons you see and adding some more detail to the graphics. The following step would be .. multiplayer testing.. YAY for JAY!!! this still is not the final release but once again feedback is wanted. Once the game is cool enough we will put it online so everyone can enjoy it for free in the browser. If enough people click the banners surrounding the game and we get a little cash back we make a proper version with a diversity of tracks and achievements and other goodness on steam for a super reasonable price. So is anyone in for some karting action?

The question must rise.. what about FL multi-player? Well off course that is still in the pipeline but we need to try this approach first. We are working closely with some other developers and are aiming for the same goal.. propper multiplayer for a shooter game in unity3d. There are some quick solutions but they would make the game cost about ten times as much.

And the other question.. What about DLC for the current game. We would like to use your accomplishments from Buckets of Blood in the multiplayer. Meaning the multi-player will be sold separately.

And last but not least.. what about the mac version? Well we are planning to bundle the pc and mac version on steam. So it will be both for one price. I can’t tell you a date or details but we are doing our best.

i would be a sad legionnaire if the multiplayer portion of foreign legion was sold separately. i only bought the game in the first place because it said multiplayer was in development. :(

Multiplayer as DLC for FL is a reasonable move. You can’t work for free, given the low price of FL. I’ll support that.
But… before, can you please fix the very few annoying bugs in FL? (hit box accuracy, sniper zoom/dezoom move problem, headshot detection, based on Steam forum you’re aware of those issues).

As soon as those are fixed, instant buy for me a a gift for my son, and I can’t imagine a multi without those fixes anyway.

The game is great, keep up the good work! :)

So hang on, the go-karting is going to be an addition to the Sakari site, or will it be a downloadable off the site, or something?

Regardless, I’m all up for a racer, and I’d definately see if I can scrape together a few more bucks for a multiplayer segment for FL:BoB! (speaking of which, are you planning on releasing it as DLC, or as a whole new game?)

Keep up the good work guys, and I’ll definately give the go-karts a whirl for ya! ;)

I guess it would be cool :T
but the main reason I bought FL was for Mutiplayer so I could play with my bro.

but I guess if you could do like a discount for people who bought the Single Player Version then yeah… well I’m going to buy it either way but I mean it would be nice ^-^

Wait Will The Multiplayer/Expansion Pack Have Achievements To? Because I Dont Buy Steam Games Without Achievements. I Want Credit For My Pointless Video Gaming Lol. Oh Yeah This Is Probably One Of The Best Games I Have Ever Bought (Besides Wolfenstien [The New One]) Thank You For Making It And Putting It Out There At A Ridiculosly Low Price, I Look Forward To Buying The Multiplayer/Expansion Pack (If It Has Achievements)

It sounds as if they want to add vehicles to FL: BOB which would make the game play more like a Battlefield type game which I think totally ruins the fun and balance of the game for multi-player. A stand alone cart game sounds like a good idea though.

so for Multiplayer there’s going to be a racing shooting gamemode a co-op gamemode and a DM gamemode :O

Big dissapoint, i bought this game because the multiplayer promise.

I’m afraid that i wont pay for a multiplayer version after this let down…and like me, many people, you should think about it twice if you want your game to have a decent playerbase

It’s funny how Preferior and kidflawless both act as if they mentioned that multiplayer would be added as a free update, they never did.

They can’t work for free, they need a source of income, and if that source of income is a seperate game or DLC, so be it.

@Real

Agreed. Sakari Indie is fairly new. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the multiplayer component of BoB no matter what.

WTF!? multi as DLC? i only bought this because of multi (were have i heard that before) well i understand that you need a source of income. but if you make it were i HAVE to pay i wont play… How about exclusive weps and map packs for those who want to waiste money… in that case you might acualy make MORE then if you made one big payment for the whole game…

You whiners have a ridicules sense of entitlement (the ones expecting multi for free), The game only cost 5 dollars to begin with, and those of you complaining probably bought it when it was discounted and paid even less. Quit your dang whining.

Without Multi the game is well worth 5 measly bucks, and as I said you probably didn’t even pay that much.

Ask your mom to raise your allowance. :P

The game was/is surprisingly fun - so keep on working - I hope the best and I’m ready to pay some bucks for it ^^

And, like others said - I hope the bugs will be the past soon, too.
